The Under Armour brand is from the United States and makes sports material based in Baltimore, Maryland.
It was founded in 1996 by Kevin Plank, then a rugby player at the University of Maryland. Like many of the big companies, Under Armour was born in a garage. More concretely in Plank's grandmother, located in Washington DC.
When I played American football, Plank always complained about the amount of times the undershirt had to be changed because it was constantly soaked. A good day she noticed that her compression pants did remain dry, which led her to consider making her own inner T-shirt using some kind of tissue that facilitated the evaporation of sweat.
started working on her after graduation, giving the first prototypes to teammates and friends. Soon after it began to perfect the design, using lighter fabrics that kept the athletes dry and fresher. That was his initial line of work.
